OVERVIEW
At Carrier Manufacturing, I supported the engineering team on design and testing tasks for
commercial air conditioning units. This experience strengthened my understanding of how
mechanical design choices translate to real hardware performance, test methodology, and
compliance requirements in a production setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisted with designing commercial AC units using SOLIDWORKS and Revit.
Supported testing calculations for total heat rejected from a new unit using a thermal chamber.
Contributed to prototype design considerations aligned with Indian environmental safety regulations.
IMPACT & LEARNING
Built intuition for HVAC hardware constraints and how design impacts thermal performance.
Learned the importance of test setup, repeatability, and clear engineering documentation.
Gained exposure to compliance-driven design and regulation-aware engineering decisions.
